I had occasion to use the services of Obie & Ax to create a podcast series for the Fifth International Marine Protected Areas Congress (IMPAC5). Produced under the auspices of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature(IUCN), IMPAC5 brought together 3500 registrants from 128 countries and featured 937 presentations over seven days in Vancouver in February, 2023. The Congress was jointly organized by Fisheries and Oceans Canada and Parks Canada. I was the Parks Canada member of the Congress executive team. Our experience with Obie & Ax was excellent. First, the customer relations experience was exemplary: energetic, friendly, attentive, and thoroughly detailed, and with comprehensive follow-ups. Second, the product was outstanding. The highly professional team produced a 12-part series of superb products on schedule and on budget. Members of our team working directly with the production crew had a completely positive experience and learned a lot. Third, and most important, were the results. Our audiences loved the podcasts and the uptake was terrific. Released sequentially on a bi-weekly basis in the months leading up to the Congress, the podcast series had a significant positive effect on the image and credibility of the Congress, and undoubtedly contributed to the high attendance and overwhelming overall success of the Congress it self. I am pleased to highly recommend Obie & Ax. Their organization is extremely professional, exceptionally competent and a pleasure to work with.
